Six months ago, almost seven, Cody asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. This was no simple decision for us to make. We spent several nights leading up to April 13th discussing what the rest of our lives might look like. Above all else, we knew we have the same goal, making it to heaven.
The most important decision we can make is to choose to be a Christian. Cody and I both made this decision several years ago. Now it was time for us to make the second most important decision. This decision is who will we choose to support us in our walk as Christians. We know the other person will help.
We now prepare to enter the rest of our lives walking hand in hand. This is a journey we have never started before with anyone else. We have established ourselves as independent individuals. Now we begin to learn to be both dependent and independent. The cornerstone of our marriage will not be ourselves or the other persons desires. The cornerstone will be the love of Christ and God.
